Palm Springs, CA — Today, Michael Reagan, the son of President Ronald Reagan and a well-known national conservative, endorsed Jeff Stone for the State Senate.
“Jeff Stone represents the best of the conservative Reagan tradition. He is a principled conservative and citizen-politician,” said Reagan. “Jeff Stone is not part of the Sacramento crowd that has nearly destroyed this great state.”
“The fact that special interests are so strongly opposed to Jeff Stone, is reason enough to vote for him, but there are many more. He is a business owner and public servant who has actually lowered taxes and reduced the size and cost of government,” Reagan concluded.
Jeff Stone was the top vote-getter in the June primary for the 28th State Senate district, which covers much of Southwest Riverside County, the Coachella Valley and areas in between.
Stone garnered significant local support during the Primary campaign, including popular Sheriff Stan Sniff and many local elected officials. His list of supporters has grown substantially since the primary.
A local business owner and pharmacist, Stone represents the 3rd district on the Riverside County Board of Supervisors. He served three terms as a Temecula City Councilmember from 1992–2005. Jeff and his wife are longtime Temecula residents and they have four children and one grandchild.
As a public servant in his city and the county, Stone has put his conservative fiscal philosophy towards government into action. He is a champion for individual liberty, limited government, tough laws against crime and gangs and for economic development that brings jobs to Riverside County.
